Mineiros no topo! Nesta terça-feira (1), o cantor Gabriel Henrique (27), natural de Contagem, viralizou nas redes sociais após participar do “America’s Got Talent”. Ao interpretar a canção “Run To You”, de Whitney Houston, Gabriel impressionou os jurados estrangeiros e conseguiu uma vaga direto para semifinais do programa, feito conquistado por poucos participantes.
O “America’s Got Talent” é um dos maiores shows de calouros do mundo. Artistas de diversos gêneros — músicos, mágicos, dançarinos e ilusionistas — disputam pelo primeiro lugar, que vale prêmio de US$ 1 milhão (aproximadamente R$ 4,8 milhões).
Na vez de Gabriel, os jurados eram o produtor musical Simon Cowell, a modelo Heidi Klum, o comediante Howie Mandel e a atriz Sofia Vergara. Sendo que esta última apertou o “botão dourado” que garantiu o seu lugar nas últimas fases da disputa, sem precisar participar das fases eliminatórias.
Quem é Gabriel Henrique, mineiro aclamado no “America’s Got Talent”?
Gabriel Henrique é natural de Contagem, região metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. Ele é cantor gospel e se apresenta em uma igreja no bairro Cidade Industrial, tendo gravado também um álbum solo de suas canções.
Sua carreira musical já vem de anos. Quando criança, ele participou de programas da Xuxa e do Raul Gil, esbanjando seus dons para a música desde pequeno.
A ida ao “America’s Got Talent” foi sua primeira vez nos Estados Unidos. Ele subiu ao palco com um intérprete de português-inglês, e apesar das barreiras linguísticas, logo conquistou os jurados pelo seu carisma e sua voz.
A modelo Heidi Klum disse que “se Whitney Houston e Mariah Carey tivessem um bebê”, seria Gabriel. O comediante Howie Mandel admitiu que não esperava que ele tivesse aquela voz, que soava como “a melhor diva pop”. Simon Cowell disse que as pessoas gostarão muito do cantor, que ele não sabe “o quão bom é” e que sua apresentação foi “sensacional”.
Já Sofia Vergara definiu a apresentação como “perfeita e espetacular”, elogiando a voz, a energia e a presença do cantor. E ao fim, decidiu aprovar Gabriel Henrique com o “Golden Buzzer”, o “botão dourado” que leva um participante às semifinais sem que este precise disputar as eliminatórias.
Em suas redes sociais, o contagense relatou as emoções de ter conquistado o feito:
Quando fui convidado para participar do programa, estava passando por um momento tão difícil e pessoal na minha vida, que jamais imaginaria que Deus ia me levar lá no EUA e me honrar desse jeito simplesmente no maior show de calouros do mundo! […] MUITO obrigado Sofia, não sei explicar como me sinto, são muitas emoções, tenho apenas gratidão”, escreveu.
